Purpose of the UNCSA mural: History and Philosophy of Science

The purpose of this mural project is twofold: First, I aim for my students to have an understanding of

the history of science.  Thus far, my students have learned about the history of science during in-class discussions and group presentations.  By summarizing and presenting the history of science in a mural form, I would like the students to use their creative and artistic talents to process and present the history of science differently than they would in a standard classroom format.  Second, I hope for my students to share their understanding of the history of science in an engaging way.  At the end of the mural project, I hope for the mural to be used to teach others about the history of science.  —Janna Levin (UNCSA)
